This is Grenache and Syrah. Red cherry, clear and bright. An earthy spicy nose. The palate has good structure with well-balanced acids and tannins; the fruits are cool plums and cherries with a lovely sweet spicy finish. Very French and very good value.

Details

In the heart of Gigondas vineyards, one of the most prestigious southern Côtes du Rhone growths, lies the Domaine de Font-Sane.The know-how handed down from generation to generation draws the very best from the terroirs, and the marriage of tradition and state-of-the-art techniques. Véronique Cunty-Peysson and her husband, Bernard, have been perpetuating this wine-making know-how, and thus contributing to the defence and reputation of these great wines. From the Domaine itself you can see, protected by the majestic rock faces of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the little village of Gigondas. The domaine de font-sane is advantaged by the rich variety of five different "Terroirs" or soil types. We are proud of the wine-making mission which we have inherited. Wine is part of our heritage which is why we want to produce a very high quality product for a demanding and faithful clientele to whom we guarantee the greatest consistency in the creation of our wines, so great is our desire to lovingly defend the great growth that is the Gigondas of the Domaine de Font-Sane. We are open all the year round at our cellars where you can get to know and taste our range of wines and latest vintages.
