A bit of history…the Adelaide Hills were originally known as the Tiers. The word Tiersmen was used to describe the many escaped or released convicts from other states who had set up camp in the Hills and caused a bit of a ruckus by commonly making off with the livestock and crops of the free settlers. This Syrah is a tribute to the time the hills were a bit wilder. From the Ngeringa farm in Mt Barker we whole bunch ferment this wine for a short period before basket pressing into old French puncheons. Racked and bottled after six months to maintain freshness and liveliness. 12% alc. - Winery Note

Thanks for visiting. A love of wine, food and growing things eventually led us away from a vastly different background involving scuba gear and seaweed. Our winery is situated in the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills where we try to intervene as little as possible in the growing and making of our wines. We farm a number of small parcels in Basket Range, Forest Range and Ashton. We don’t like to define our styles or wine making techniques, we just make wine in the way we feel is right for the grapes and season and most importantly, with maximum drinkability and enjoyment in mind. We hope you enjoy. - Winery Note
