Every year I get excited for the release of the very limited Gramenon wines. The Laurentides is from 50 year old vines planted at 400m near the village of Vinsobres. The wine is predominantely Grenache and it shows through the wine. There is an elegance to these wines even though they have such power and concentration. Integrated fruit and whole bunch qualities make this silky upfront wine so very sexy and the structural elements make it bold. It's quite the tease... so give in to it. - Chris L

Importer Note:

The iconic Domaine Gramenon originates back in 1978 when Philippe Laurent and Michele Aubery-Laurent purchased 12 hectares of vines and an old barn. The first wine produced was in 1979 and was the first vintage of their now iconic and cult 'Ceps Centainaires'

Gramenon produces some of my absolute favourite wines from the Southern Rhône from their bio dynamic vineyards way out in the North-Eastern part of the Côtes du Rhône, in fact they are in the department of the Drome, not the Vaucluse like nearly all others.
