Procured from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard. Both planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.435 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare). A powerful and robust wine with a certain elegance. An alluring nose of black plums, red currants, liquorice and subtle floral notes of lavender. The dark sweet fruits on the palate are accompanied by sleek tannins and spice. This wine displays complexity and structure making it an ideal wine to cellar for years to come.

Fraser Kinley is the man behind Sami-Odi wines. In 2003 he left his home in Auckland, New Zealand and headed to the Barossa where he spent time working at Torbreck and Standish Wine Company.

In 2006 he made the move to Barossa and set up a small winery "Sami Odi". His wines are made from carefully selected plots of vines coming from some of the finest vineyards in the valley. All the plots are vinified separately and blended later on to create a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts.
